How it works
- We read the transactions in your statement (the PDF from your bank’s app or website).
- Plain keyword rules sort each one: a shop or company name decides the category. No AI reads your statement.
- You see money in, money out and what was left over each month, and the biggest items we couldn’t place.
- The statement is read in memory and thrown away; we only count how many budgets are made each day.

How do I make a budget from my bank statement?
Choose the PDF statement your bank's app or website gives you. We read the transactions and sort them into categories like groceries, fuel, bills and subscriptions, and show the totals per month.
Is my bank statement stored?
No. The PDF is read in memory to make the budget and then thrown away. Only a daily count of budgets made is kept.
How are transactions sorted into categories?
By plain keyword rules: a shop or company name in the description (for example Checkers, Engen or Netflix) decides the category. Anything we can't place is shown as Other spending, with the biggest ones listed so you can see them.
Which banks work?
Statements with selectable text, like those from FNB, ABSA, Standard Bank, Nedbank, Capitec and most banks elsewhere. Scans and photos can't be read.
Is this financial advice?
No. It adds up your own transactions so you can see where the money went; what to do about it is your decision.
